This is why I think the Lavender does so well in my yard: it’s windy. Even on other days, there seems to be a way for this plant to circulate, which seems to be part of its medicine.
Because it knows circulation, Lavender cools a hot head; it can be used for fevers. But it can also cool an intellectually hot head, like overthinking, insomnia, and hyperactivity. It moves all that fantastic blood activity to other parts of the body and is, consequently, very grounding.
In the video, it’s dancing around with another Mediterranean herb, Sage (Salvia officinalis) and with Silver Mound (Artemesia schmidtiana). They all smell so amazing, which is a hallmark of mediterranean￼ cooking: high volatile oils (loads of scent).
